Test Setup

We test STRX40 motherboards using AMD's Threadripper 3960X CPU along with 32GB (4 x 8GB) of Corsair 3,466MHz Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 memory. We're also using an EK Water Blocks EK-MLC Phoenix 240mm CPU cooler and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition. To test the M.2 PCIe 4.0 capabilities we're using the  2TB Aorus NVMe Gen4 SSD and, where possible, using the motherboard's own heatsinks to cool it to obtain both speed and SSD temperatures.
